This poster was designed to give viewers a brief overview of the content of my Diploma Thesis "Designing a Dashboard for Student Information Systems".
In my Diploma Thesis, I wrote about Student Information Systems and how to improve them. One of the main issues I identified was the landing page, which was useless in several of the evaluated SISs.
DigiBoard is a project, where we redefined how information boards in foyers of apartment buildings work.
A new dynamic way to present lecture slides online
The goal of this poster was to present the essential information of a scientifical paper at a glance. Therefore the fundamental essence of the article was extracted and organised into categories, which are better to present on a poster.
A simple progress indicator that helps employees to keep up with their work and do their assigned workload.
Layerinth is a labyrinth game, where players have to find the goal, like in a conventional labyrinth. However, the game is not on one layer but several floors. Players have to switch between this planes to find their way through the maze.
We designed this plush toy for children with mental retardation. It asks for a fruit a therapist chooses, and the children have to place the requested fruit at his necklace. This way the children are animated to use and train their brain and coordinate their movements.
In this puzzle game players have to combine all available colour blocks to one with the requested colour. However, it is only possible to combine a block with its neighbour and only one combination of the blocks results in the correct tone. If you mix them in a wrong order, the resulting block will have another colour.
In our Beyond the Desktop class, we created a Design Card kit, which helps to create a concept for products based on minicomputers like Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
In the project, we realised a whole back office solution for a burn out therapy centre.
In this project we aimed to explore new ways of interaction in VR games.
We removed the conventional button controls from Tetris and replaced them with a Kinect. Our goal was to motivate people doing more exercise and use their whole body instead of their fingertips while playing this classic.
With the Ubi Ubi Mockup-Kit we created a “tangible” version of a digital Whack-a-mole game. By slamming your hand down on our cardboard which is equipped with Play-Doh you can get rid of your stress or other things which bother you.
Simple implementation how it can be recognised if shirt cuffs are closed or not. The information is used to trigger some features like playing music.
A prototypical implementation of a smart alarm system with an Arduino and proximity sensor. This system was built as a simple tech demo, no particular use case or feature was intended.
