DigiBoard is a project, where we redefined how information boards in foyers of apartment buildings work.
We kept the basic functionality - displaying information from the property management - and added social features for the residents. They were enabled to communicate with each other via the information board. This communication includes announcements of events like yoga classes in the common room and to register for them. Offer and search for help, as well as organising the common room and laundry.
Furthermore, the board displays information about the next public transport, car sharing and bike sharing.

To take things further, we also added the possibility to personalise the information board. For example, if you do not need the car sharing information, DigiBoard can use the space to display more information about public transport. To activate your personalised view, DigiBoard recognises you with your smartphone. As soon as you are close, the displayed information switches from a generic view to your personal view.

The pictures show an old analogue information board to be replaced with DigiBoard, a paper prototype, a wireframe sketch and the final design for DigiBoard.
